GREAT JOB MR TOWNS BUT WE STILL HAVE SOME OTHER PROBLEMS IN ENY BROOKLYN

The Sutter Ave Post Office In ENY Brooklyn does not deliver to our door in my ENY neighborhood ? Yes, sounds impossible but true in Brooklyn NY if you live in a ENY Brooklyn NYCHA Housing Authority Project Facility. The USPO keeps your delivery money and you must walk over to the Sutter Avenue Post Office and pick your package up. They do not deliver it to your door and get this The Webmaster knows why  ? I have seen a very pretty looking female postal worker who just rides in an places the pink notice slip in your mailbox ? Alot of things operating within ENY, never make any sense to me ! Why are we paying The USPO our hard earned money when you still have to walk over and pick up your package and do not receive a discount because you picked the package up this is totally ludicrous to me ?

What is going on in ENY Brooklyn ? A situation like this, should be seen late nights on Comedy Central Cable TV and not operating on a daily basics, in our real life neigh-HOOD !

Plus the local Sutter Ave Post Office information telephone number was linked to a XXX rated dating service for months. Residents and Employees knew it ? Then how come the manager did not know it, maybe he linked it up himself, and made money from it ? Maybe not, Either way ......

GET RID OF THE PRESENT MANAGEMENT AT THE SUTTER AVE POST OFFICE IN ENY BROOKLYN N.Y USA. HE IS THE REASON AND THE ONE THAT HAS ALLOWED THIS NONSENSE OF THE USPS NOT DROPPING OFF PACKAGES TO YOUR DOOR THAT YOU PAID FOR. MANAGEMENT KNOWS THAT IT WILL NOT BE DELIVERED AND ALLOWS IT TO CONTINUOUSLY HAPPEN YEAR AFTER YEAR ! HIRE EMPLOYEES THAT HAVE HEART AND ARE NOT SCARED OF ENTERING INTO A NYCHA PROJECT FACILITY !

The Current African American New Lots Post Office Manager Refused To Give Me His Name

Notice the exterior security gates are never open and the windows are never cleaned, It has the look of an Official Federal Government Ghetto Post Office inside and out.

  1. Inside holes in the ceiling,

  2. Dirty floors and counters

  3. A TV that is never turned on for customers who wait in line

  4. People wait in line for a half hour or more just to buy a stamp or pickup a package.

Poor management is responsible for operating our ENY Brooklyn N.Y Post Office in this fashion

November 10, 2009

The Brooklyn N.Y U.S Postal District Managers Office and Congressman Ed Towns Office contacted and has assured me that problems at The  Sutter Ave Post Office Better Known As The New Lots Post Office Branch, shall be addressed. Improvements at the branch office has been a long time coming especially being that ENY Brooklyn is the largest community board district within the NYC five borough area. There are hundreds of thousands of new residents who will live double and triple up within their homes and apartments moving into our area and The The New Lots Post Office Branch will be constantly tested as the population grows more and more.

The branch presently looks like a ghetto post office with a TV that is never on, dirty walls that need dusting and painting, windows that need washing, large holes in the ceiling and lines that you have to stand that lead outside of the post office that you have to stand in any where from forty five minutes to one and a half hours in order to buy a stamp or pickup a package. Every customer service window needs to be open or manned from workers in the back when a crowd gathers. Times are hard for most people today and no one needs to lose their job just because they went to the post office to send a package off or pickup a registered letter stating your home is going to be foreclosed by the local Marshall. No one should have to choose between losing their job or picking up a mandatory letter or package from a Post Office where you have to choose and the wrong choice could change your life or worst  ? Not picking up a final notice letter that could have kept your family, from becoming homeless !

What do you think, talk about it in our ENY Brooklyn Discussion Forum Room

Tell us how you feel and what you think, tell us about your good and bad experiences that you went through at the, New Lots Sutter Avenue Post Office Branch for others to read about and remember TO TELL A FRIEND ! Click the image below

Please remember: The U.S Post Office is a federal government problem and our city and state political rep's can only voice their opinion. But only Congressman Ed Towns Office on the federal level. Can improve our New Lots Post Office Branch to right the wrongs and make the wrongs right, it is not his fault. But USPS bad management is responsible !

Congressman Ed Towns

Supporting Our USA Veterans

As a senior member of Congress and a veteran of the United States Army, I fully appreciate our solemn responsibility to support our veterans.  Those that have courageously defended our nation's freedom deserve not only our respect but our commitment to serving their health care and educational needs.

 That is why I am proud to support the President's new budget, which provides $55.9 billion in funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs.  This new approach would augment the 1.4 billion set aside for the VA in the Recovery Act passed early this year. Below are a few highlights of the new funding;

·         Dramatically increases funding for veterans health care.

·         Expands eligibility for veterans’ health care to over 500,000 veterans by 2013.

·         Enhances outreach and services related to mental health and cognitive injuries, including post-traumatic stress  disorder and traumatic brain injury.

·         Invests in better technology to deliver services and benefits to veterans with the quality and efficiency they deserve.

·         Provides greater benefits to veterans who are medically retired from service.

·         Facilitates timely implementation of the comprehensive education benefits that veterans earn through their dedicated military service.

In addition to the new health measures, the plan addresses another critical veteran concern:  homelessness.  It expands the VA’s current services to homeless veterans through a collaborative pilot program with non-profit organizations. This program will help maintain stable housing for veterans who are at risk of falling into homelessness while helping the VA to continue providing them with support services.

Our veterans put their lives on the line in the service of our country, and we have a responsibility to help them lead healthy lives when they return.  This budget does just that. I look forward to working with President Obama and my fellow members of Congress to continue to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of all our veterans.

                                                                                    Sincerely,

                                                                                     Edolphus “Ed” Towns

                                                                                    Member of Congress

                                                                                    New York 10th Congressional District
